Said Basri

Said Basri first made a mark on the live tournament scene in early 2011. In January, he cashed in multiple events including a 22nd place in the France Poker Series Grande Finale (€5,400) and a 16th place in an EPT Deauville side event (€4,320). He also finished 6th in the Dakar Poker Tour Main Event (€8,847) and 7th in the Marrakech Poker Open Deepstack (€3,773).

Basri's biggest result came in March 2011 when he finished runner-up in the Mazagan Poker Deepstack in El Jadida, Morocco. Out of 85 entrants, he earned €45,455 for his second-place finish, marking the largest cash of his career at the time.

Basri became a regular on the Moroccan poker circuit. In May 2011, he finished 7th in the Marrakech Poker Open Main Event for €8,076. Later that year, he took 7th in the Tanger Millionaire Maker Main Event (€5,636). He continued to cash in Marrakech events, including a 39th place in the 2014 Winamax Poker Open Sismix (€1,605) and multiple cashes in 2016 WPT National Marrakech events.

In January 2020, Basri cashed in two events at the WSOP Circuit Marrakech: 53rd in the Main Event (32,000 MAD) and 35th in a Deepstack (13,500 MAD). His most recent result as of the search data is a 10th-place finish in the MPO Main Event in March 2023, earning €6,200.

Basri is noted for his aggressive and pressure-heavy style. In a 2016 CNP Tanger event, he led Day 1A by accumulating 328,000 chips, leveraging a good run and attacking opponents' weaknesses. He was described as taking advantage of a "totally uncontrolled table" and applying constant pressure.

While Basri remains a relatively low-profile player, his consistent cashes in Moroccan tournaments and a runner-up finish for over €40,000 have earned him respect in the French-speaking poker community. He continues to play and cash in events like the Marrakech Poker Open.
