Vladimir Novitckii entered the international poker scene in the 2010s, primarily competing in European Poker Tour (EPT) events. His most documented appearance came during the 2014 PokerStars.com EPT Season 11 Barcelona, where he played the €5,300 Main Event.

In August 2014, Novitckii participated in the €5,300 Main Event at EPT Barcelona, which drew 1,496 entries and a top prize of €794,058. He progressed deep into the tournament, reaching Day 4.

During the event, Novitckii drew attention for his aggressive interference with table neighbor Davidi Kitai. Kitai opened to 32,000 and Novitckii called, leading to a flop of 8♣4♥2♠. After both checked, the turn came 5♥; Kitai checked, Novitckii bet small, and Kitai folded. On the next hand, Kitai again opened to 32,000 and Novitckii raised to 76,000. An unhappy Kitai folded, later revealing he had pocket tens—a strong hand that Novitckii forced him to lay down.
