按钮位翻前加注-弃牌静态策略(BTN Preflop Raise-Fold Static)
A fixed strategy where you always fold to a re-raise after raising preflop from the button, without making any adjustments.
Concept Overview
BTN Preflop Raise-Fold Static is a simple and passive preflop strategy applicable to the Button (BTN) position in Texas Hold'em. The core of this strategy is: after the player raises first from the button, if they face a 3-bet (re-raise) from an opponent (usually the big blind or small blind), they always fold regardless of the opponent's bet size, range, or their own hand strength. This strategy completely ignores opponent tendencies or board dynamics, making it a "static" behavior.
Application Background
This strategy is commonly used by inexperienced players or as a temporary simplification to avoid being at a disadvantage postflop. In low-stakes games, some players may believe that frequent folding reduces losses, but in the long run, this creates a severe leak: opponents can easily exploit it by 3-betting frequently, stripping the button's raise of its value and suppressing the player's win rate.
Strategy Flaws
- Exploitability: Once opponents realize the button player uses this strategy, they can significantly increase their 3-bet frequency, forcing the player to fold a large number of initial raises. This unbalances the button's raising range and wastes +EV raise opportunities.
- Range Imbalance: The player only calls or 4-bets with strong hands and folds medium-strength hands, leaving their range highly exploitable.
- Missed Value: Many post-raise 3-bets can actually be profitable to call or re-raise. For example, with small-to-medium pocket pairs or suited connectors, appropriate calls can effectively counter an opponent's wide 3-bet range.
Improvement Suggestions
Avoid using a static fold strategy in the long term. It is recommended to adopt dynamic adjustments, such as: based on factors like the opponent's 3-bet frequency, position, stack depth, etc., develop a reasonable range for calling, 4-betting, and folding. Modern GTO strategies require that, when facing a 3-bet from the button, you retain some non-strong hands for defense to maintain range balance and protect the value of your initial raise.
