Poker Term

按钮位河牌第四加注湿润面(BTN River 4-Bet Wet)

Refers to a strong range action where the button, on the river, facing multiple raises from an earlier position, makes a fourth bet 4-bet, and the board texture is wet e.g., possible flush or straight draw.

Term Breakdown

Hand Example

Suppose the board is 6♥ 7♥ 8♥ 9♥ T♠, making a one-card straight (any 5 or J completes the straight) and a four-flush. On the flop, the early position bets, middle position raises, and the late position 3-bets. The button then 4-bets on the river. Since both players have shown very strong ranges, the button's 4-bet only represents the nuts (e.g., J♥X♥ for a straight flush) or very few bluffs (needed for balance).

Strategic Significance

This action is extremely rare in practice, typically occurring in deep-stacked and aggressive situations. A 4-bet on a wet board almost always indicates value, with a very low bluff frequency because river re-bluffs have a low success rate. Regular players should avoid bluffing here unless they have a precise read on their opponent.
