按钮位河牌公对(BTN River Open Paired)
On the river, after the button player bets on both the flop and turn, the river pairs the board.
Overview
BTN River Open Paired describes a specific scenario: the preflop BTN player raises and enters the pot, then continues betting (c-bet) on the flop and turn, after which the river card pairs a card already on the board, creating a pair on the board. This term is commonly used in discussions analyzing the aggressive strategy of the preflop raiser and changes in board structure.
Strategic Implications
When the river pairs the board, the BTN player's range often contains many unimproved hands (e.g., high cards, draws), while the board pair may have helped some of the opponent’s made hands (e.g., full houses or trips), or may also weaken the BTN's own hand. The BTN must evaluate how their range interacts with the opponent's range on a paired board:
- If the BTN holds a strong hand (e.g., trips or better), they can continue betting for value.
- If the BTN is bluffing or has a marginal pair, they usually lean toward checking or folding, because the paired board increases the likelihood of the opponent calling or raising. This term is often used in teaching examples to illustrate how players with positional advantage should adjust their betting frequency based on a river board pair.
Typical Scenario
Example: Preflop BTN raises, big blind calls. Flop K-8-2 rainbow, BTN bets, big blind calls. Turn 3, BTN bets, big blind calls. River K (board becomes K-8-2-3-K, pairing the K). At this point, the BTN's action constitutes BTN River Open Paired.
