CO翻牌前下注-弃牌(湿润面)(CO Preflop Bet-Fold Wet)
Adopting a strategy of betting pre-flop in the CO position cutoff and then folding to a raise, typically applicable to wet board textures or scenarios where the opponent's range is wide.
Overview
CO Preflop Bet-Fold Wet is a mixed strategy term in Texas Hold'em, composed of position (CO), action stage (Preflop), action pattern (Bet-Fold), and board texture (Wet). The core idea is to bet (typically an open-raise) from the CO position preflop, and fold if facing a 3-bet or raise from an opponent. "Wet" usually refers to a postflop board structure that is draw-heavy (many straight draws, flush possibilities), but it can also refer to an opponent's 3-bet range being "wet" (wide or polarized).
Strategy Logic
Open-raising from the CO position preflop is standard play, but when facing an aggressive opponent's 3-bet, folding is reasonable if the hand strength is insufficient (e.g., medium pairs, suited connectors). This term emphasizes that on wet boards, an opponent's 3-bet range often contains more strong hands or draws, so the fold frequency should increase. On wet boards, opponents are more likely to raise with draws or made hands, making calling or 4-betting riskier.
Applicable Scenarios
- The player's hand is of medium strength, such as KJo, QTs, small pairs, etc.
- The opponent has a high 3-bet frequency and a relatively wide range ("wet" range).
- The postflop board is likely to create strong draws, increasing the possibility of opponent bluffs.
Notes
This term is not a standard naming convention, and different players may assign different meanings. In practice, it should be adjusted flexibly based on opponent tendencies, stack depth, and position. If the board is dry or the opponent's 3-bet range is extremely tight, Bet-Fold may not be the optimal choice.
