CO位河牌延迟持续下注(彩虹翻牌面)(CO River Delayed C-Bet Rainbow)

CO River Delayed C-Bet Rainbow

When the flop is a rainbow three different suits, the player who raised pre-flop from the CO position checks both the flop and turn, then bets on the river.

Overview

CO River Delayed C-Bet Rainbow is a post-flop strategy applicable when the flop is a rainbow board and you are in the CO position. The core of this strategy is to check on both the flop and turn, and only bet on the river. Typically, the preflop raiser would choose to c-bet on the flop, but since the rainbow board is dry (no flush draws), checking can control the pot or induce bluffs from opponents. Delaying the bet to the river leverages the opponent's perception that you might have given up, applying pressure on the river.

Applicable Situations

  • The flop is a rainbow board and the board is relatively unconnected (e.g., K♣7♦2♥), reducing the opponent's drawing possibilities.
  • The opponent's range is wide, and they may tend to bluff on the turn or river when facing a check.
  • Your hand has some showdown value but is not strong enough to build a large pot on the flop.

Purpose

  • Pot control: Avoid getting raised after a flop c-bet, which would bloat the pot.
  • Induce bluffs: Entice the opponent to bet on the turn or river, then you can bet or raise on the river.
  • Value extraction: When you hold a medium-strength hand (e.g., top pair with a weak kicker), a delayed bet can extract value from the opponent's weak hands or bluff-catching hands on the river.

Pros and Cons

  • Advantages: Disrupts the preflop raiser's c-betting frequency, making it harder for opponents to gauge your hand strength; avoids committing money too early on dry flops.
  • Disadvantages: May give opponents a free card; if the turn or river improves their range, you lose value; overusing this strategy can be exploited.

Notes

  • This strategy should not be overused, especially in games with high c-betting frequencies.
  • It must be combined with opponent tendencies: more effective against aggressive opponents, but may backfire against passive ones.
  • A rainbow flop is a prerequisite; if the flop has flush draw possibilities, checking increases risk.
