CO位挤压底池河牌圈策略(CO Squeeze Pot River Strategy)
CO Squeeze Pot River Strategy
Refers to the optimal action series and decision principles when entering the river after a squeeze action pre-flop from the Cutoff position.
Overview
CO (Cutoff) is the last favorable position before the blinds, often putting pressure on the blinds. When a CO player squeeze-raises (Squeeze) a preflop raiser and one or more callers and reaches the river, they need to formulate a strategy based on board texture, opponent ranges, and their own range.
Core Principles
- Polarized Range: After a squeeze, the CO's river range is typically polarized—comprised of strong made hands (e.g., two pair or better) and pure bluffs. Medium-strength hands (e.g., top pair weak kicker) usually check.
- Opponent Tendencies: Assess how often opponents call a squeeze preflop, and their postflop fold/call tendencies. Aggressive opponents may fight back with draws, while passive ones are more likely to fold.
- Pot Size: Squeeze pots are larger than standard pots, so river bet sizes are typically 60–80% of the pot. Bluffing requires more caution.
Common Actions
- Value Bet: When holding the nuts or strong made hands (e.g., sets, straights, flushes), bet for thin value, especially against opponents who like to call with bluff-catchers.
- Bluff: On suitable boards (e.g., four to a straight, flush completed) with missed draws, bet to force opponents to fold medium-strength hands.
- Check-Raise: If opponents attack your checking range on the river, the CO can check-raise with strong hands. But be aware that some opponents may check back with value hands.
- Check-Fold: When the river clearly improves an opponent's range (e.g., a high pair completes quads), or when your own range lacks strong hands, check-fold is the default option.
Range Construction Example
Assume the CO squeeze-raises with AK, TT+, AQs, etc., and the caller's range includes small to medium pairs, suited connectors. The river is K♠9♠3♦J♦Q♣. The CO can value bet with AK, TT, etc., and bluff with air like A♣T♣ (missed gutshot).
Notes
- Avoid frequent bluffs against overly aggressive opponents; they may call with bluff-catchers or top pair.
- Consider ICM factors (in tournaments) or balance your own range to avoid being exploited.
This strategy emphasizes planning river actions after a squeeze, making it a crucial skill in high-stakes cash games and tournaments.
