劫持位10bb跟注全下(HJ 10bb Call Off)

HJ 10bb Call Off

In a tournament, when in the hijack position with a stack of about 10 big blinds, the decision to call an opponent's all-in.

Overview

HJ (Hijack) is the position on the table located before CO (Cutoff) and after MP. 10bb refers to a stack depth of approximately 10 big blinds, a common short stack range. Call Off means choosing to call rather than fold when facing an opponent's all-in (All-in) either preflop or postflop.

Strategic Background

In tournaments, when the stack depth drops to around 10bb, players often enter the "push-fold" stage, i.e., either shove or fold. Calling an all-in typically occurs in these scenarios:

  • The opponent shoves with a wide range and your hand has sufficient equity.
  • There are antes (Ante) or blinds in the pot, making the pot odds worth the call.
  • ICM pressure is low, such as outside the money bubble or with low ICM impact.

Typical Hand Range

Generally, when the HJ position is at 10bb depth, the calling-all-in range includes approximately: medium pairs (66-99), strong Aces (AT+), and suited connectors (e.g., KQs), etc., adjusted according to the opponent's shoving range.

Example

  • On the bubble, HJ has 10bb, CO shoves for 15bb. If HJ holds 88, the pot odds for calling are about 1.8:1, requiring at least 36% equity. 88 has about 55% equity against a random CO shoving range, so it should call.

Notes

This term describes a decision in a specific scenario, not a fixed strategy. Actual application must consider opponent tendencies, stack distribution, and ICM factors.
