Poker Term

劫位翻牌圈四次下注(彩虹面)(HJ Flop 4-Bet Rainbow)

This term combination is uncommon and is mainly used to describe a specific post-flop action scenario.

Term Analysis

"HJ Flop 4-Bet Rainbow" consists of four parts:

  • HJ (Hijack): One seat to the right of the cutoff (UTG+2), a middle-to-late position.
  • Flop: The first three community cards.
  • 4-Bet: The fourth bet. On the flop, betting rounds typically include: bet, raise, 3-bet, and 4-bet. This concept extends from preflop to the flop, but a 4-bet on the flop is extremely rare; standard terminology often uses "re-raise" to describe it.
  • Rainbow: A flop where all three cards are of different suits, meaning no flush draw is possible.

Typical Scenario

Assume no one raised preflop. On the flop:

  1. Player A bets.
  2. Player B raises (2-bet).
  3. Player C re-raises (3-bet).
  4. Now the Hijack player re-raises again (4-bet), and the flop is a rainbow.

This situation is extremely rare because postflop multi-way raises are usually limited by stack depth and hand strength. A rainbow flop reduces drawing possibilities, so a 4-bet from HJ often represents a very strong made hand (e.g., overpair, top pair top kicker, set, etc.).

Notes

  • This term is not a standard poker term; most players would directly describe it as "HJ 4-bet over a 3-bet on a rainbow flop."
  • If it refers to a preflop scenario, the correct phrasing would be "HJ 4-Bet Preflop, Flop Rainbow" – a different order.
  • It is recommended to use clearer descriptions in practice or teaching to avoid ambiguity.
