HJ多路底池转牌圈策略(HJ Multiway Pot Turn Strategy)
HJ Multiway Pot Turn Strategy
In a six-handed full-ring game, the strategy for a player in the HJ Hijack position on the turn when a multiway pot three or more players is formed after the flop.
Overview
HJ Multiway Pot Turn Strategy focuses on how the HJ player makes decisions on the turn when multiple players have entered the pot on the flop, and the stack depth is usually deep. Multiway pots mean wider ranges and more draws, so accurate range reading and bet sizing are key.
Core Principles
- Range Tightening: In multiway pots, opponents have more junk hands and made hands, so the HJ's value betting range should be tighter, usually only including top pair or better or strong draws.
- Bet Sizing: It is recommended to use medium-to-large bets (about 75%-100% of the pot) to deny odds to speculative draws while avoiding giving cheap showdowns to multiple players.
- Position Advantage: The HJ is in a middle position on the turn, allowing observation of later players' actions while retaining the flop betting initiative. Prioritize using position for value bets or semi-bluffs.
Typical Scenarios
- Dry Board (e.g., K♠7♣2♦ turn 4♥): If a continuation bet was made on the flop, continue betting on the turn, representing a strong leading range, forcing weak pairs or draws to fold.
- Wet Board (e.g., 6♠5♠4♣ turn 9♥): Be cautious as opponents may hold straight or flush draws. It is recommended to only bet with strong made hands (e.g., two pair or better), and with medium-strength hands (e.g., top pair) prefer to check-call.
- Draw Evolution: When the turn completes obvious draws (e.g., flush or straight boards), reduce bluffs and use more check-folds.
Notes
In multiway pots, the flop raiser (HJ) should reduce continuation bet frequency on the turn, around 40%-50%. Also, be wary of opponents' check-raises, as they usually represent very strong hands or combo draws. Actual strategy should be dynamically adjusted based on opponent tendencies and stack sizes.
