中间位隔离加注线路

A strategy in which a player in middle position raises over one or more limpers to isolate a weak opponent and gain positional advantage.

Overview

The middle position isolation raise line is a common poker strategy used primarily in no-limit hold'em cash games and tournaments. It involves a player seated in middle position (typically UTG+1, UTG+2, or MP) raising after one or more players have limped into the pot. The goal is to isolate a weak limper, usually a loose-passive player, and play a heads-up pot with positional advantage.

Why Middle Position?

Middle position offers a balance between information and remaining players to act. Compared to early position, you have seen the actions of early limpers, which can indicate weakness. Compared to late position, you still have players behind you, so your raise must be strong enough to discourage calls from the cutoff, button, or blinds. However, isolating from middle position is often effective because the limpers are typically weak and the players behind are yet to act but may fold to a well-sized raise.

When to Use This Line

  • Weak Limpers: Target players who limp frequently with marginal hands and fold to raises often.
  • Stack Sizes: Effective when you have a healthy stack (40+ big blinds) to withstand post-flop play. Short stacks may want to avoid isolation due to high risk.
  • Hand Selection: Use strong hands (e.g., AJ+, KQ, 77+) that play well heads-up. Avoid hands that perform poorly in multi-way pots.
  • Table Dynamics: In tight games, isolation raises are more successful. In loose games, you risk multi-way action, which defeats the purpose.

Key Considerations

  • Raise Size: Typically 3-4 big blinds plus one additional big blind per limper. A too-small raise may invite calls; a too-large raise may fold out weaker hands you want to isolate.
  • Position After Isolation: You will be in position against the limper if they call, as you act after them on all streets. This is a significant advantage.
  • Continuation Betting: After isolation, you should often continuation bet on flops that are favorable to your range, especially if the limper is passive.
  • Adjustment: If players behind you frequently 3-bet, tighten your isolation range. If they call lightly, choose hands with good playability.

Example Scenario

In a 1/2 cash game, two players limp. You are in middle position with A♠J♠. You raise to 4 big blinds (total $12). The limpers both call. The flop comes K♦7♣2♥. You bet $15, representing a strong hand, and the first limper folds. The second calls. The turn is a blank, and you check with intention to fold or call a small bet. This line isolates a weak opponent and allows you to control the pot size.
