轻浮动下注范围(Light Donk Bet Range)
Light Donk Bet Range
On the flop, an out-of-position player makes a proactive donk bet with a wide range of non-value hands, aiming to force a fold or gain information.
Overview
Light Donk Bet Range is a strategy where a player who called (or limped) preflop takes the lead with a bet on the flop out of position, using a wide but weak range. It is not for value but as a bluff or semi-bluff, exploiting opponent fold equity or controlling pot size.
Components
- Stage: Flop.
- Position: Out of position (usually the big blind who called preflop).
- Bet type: Donk bet (donk flop).
- Hand strength: Light, meaning non-value hands, typically including:
- Draws (e.g., open-ended straight draws, flush draws).
- Weak pairs (bottom pair or middle pair).
- Air (pure bluffs).
- Range width: Wider than a value donk bet range, e.g., including all draws and some bluffs.
Purpose and Application
- Force opponent to fold: When the flop favors the caller (e.g., low board) and the preflop raiser c-bets too often, a light donk bet applies pressure.
- Gather information: Observing opponent's reaction – if raised, easy fold; if called, adjust strategy on later streets.
- Balance value range: Mix with value donk bets (e.g., two pair or better) to make it harder for opponent to read.
Typical Example
- Preflop: Hero raises on BTN, big blind calls.
- Flop: 2♠ 3♠ 9♦
- Hero holds A♠K♠, big blind holds 5♣6♣ (open-ended straight draw). Big blind chooses to donk bet 1/3 pot – this is a light donk bet.
Notes
- Light donk bet range should not be too wide, otherwise it risks exploitation.
- Flop structure should be suitable for donking: dry boards (no draws) or low boards favoring the caller.
- Works better when the preflop raiser has a wide range.
