小盲20BB泡沫期打法(SB 20bb Bubble Play)
SB 20bb Bubble Play
During the tournament bubble period, strategies and decisions when holding about 20 big blinds in the small blind position, requiring consideration of ICM pressure and positional disadvantage.
Overview
SB 20bb Bubble Play refers to a specific strategy when you are on the small blind with about 20 big blinds during the bubble phase of a tournament (near the money). At this point, ICM (Independent Chip Model) pressure is significant. Short-stacked players tend to tighten their ranges to avoid elimination, while big stacks can apply pressure using the bubble.
Strategy Points
- Defense Range: 20bb on the small blind is a medium stack. You need to balance protecting your blind with avoiding exploitation by bigger stacks. Usually adopt a tight-aggressive strategy, calling or raising with stronger hands (e.g., Ax, pairs, suited connectors), and avoid entering large pots with weak hands.
- Attacking the Small Blind: When you are on the small blind, the big blind may shove with a wide range. Therefore, be cautious when shoving or raising with your limited stack. If the big blind is short-stacked, you can apply pressure by shoving with marginal hands.
- Using the Bubble: During the bubble, players with lower chip counts tend to avoid confrontation. You can moderately steal blinds from the small blind, but be aware of resteals from big stacks.
Common Mistakes
- Over-defending: Calling the big blind's all-in with weak hands, leading to elimination or significant chip loss.
- Ignoring ICM: Underestimating the risk of elimination, shoving with medium-strength hands, and getting called by a big stack and busting.
Typical Examples
- During the bubble, you are on the small blind (20bb) holding A8o. The big blind is short-stacked (10bb) and playing tight. You can shove to apply pressure, forcing the big blind to fold.
- If the big blind is deep-stacked (40bb+), you should avoid shoving with A8o, as the big blind may call with a wide range.
