Poker Term

小盲位翻牌前3-Bet彩虹面(SB Flop 3-Bet Rainbow)

Refers to the scenario where the small blind makes a 3-bet preflop, and the flop comes three cards of different suits rainbow flop.

Term Explanation

SB Flop 3-Bet Rainbow is a poker term describing a specific hand state, consisting of three parts:

  • SB (Small Blind): Refers to the player in the small blind position at the table.
  • Flop 3-Bet: Here, "3-Bet" usually refers to the third raise preflop (i.e., a re-raise of the initial raise), while "Flop" indicates that the flop has already been dealt. Therefore, the more common understanding of this term is: the small blind made a 3-bet preflop, and then the flop is dealt.
  • Rainbow: Refers to the flop where the three community cards are all of different suits, so there is no possibility of a flush draw.

Strategic Significance

A preflop 3-bet from the small blind indicates a strong hand or a polarized range (e.g., top pair or better, or a bluff). When the flop is rainbow, it means there is no flush draw threat on the flop, reducing the opponent's ability to float or raise using a flush draw. As the preflop aggressor, the small blind usually has the advantage of making a continuation bet (C-Bet) on a rainbow flop, representing a variety of strong hands or draws, putting pressure on the opponent.

Note

Strictly speaking, "Flop 3-Bet" is not a standard poker term, because a 3-bet is typically only used preflop. If a re-raise occurs on the flop, it should be called a "raise" or "re-raise." Therefore, this term most likely refers to a rainbow flop encountered after the small blind made a preflop 3-bet, not a 3-bet on the flop. Players should judge based on context during communication to avoid misunderstandings.
