小盲翻牌干燥牌面四次加注(SB Flop 4-Bet Dry)

The small blind player's fourth betting action i.e., third raise on the flop facing a dry board, usually represents very strong hand strength.

Term Explanation

SB Flop 4-Bet Dry is a strategic term in No-Limit Texas Hold'em. SB refers to the Small Blind position, Flop refers to the flop round, 4-Bet refers to the fourth betting action (i.e., on the flop, the first bet is a bet, subsequent raises are 2-bet, 3-bet, 4-bet), and Dry refers to a dry board (e.g., 2♠7♣K♦, with no obvious drawing possibilities).

Typical Scenario

This action usually occurs when there has been a preflop raise and multiple players are in the pot. For example: preflop someone raises, the Big Blind calls, the Small Blind 3-bets, the original raiser 4-bets and everyone folds, the flop comes dry, the Small Blind leads out on the flop, the opponent raises, and the Small Blind re-raises (i.e., 4-bet).

Strategic Meaning

Since a dry board reduces the opponent's drawing possibilities, a 4-bet typically represents only value hands (such as top pair top kicker, a set, or better). Bluffs are extremely rare in this spot because opponents are unlikely to fold made hands, and the player themselves likely holds a strong hand. The Small Blind uses this action to maximize value while making the opponent pay for their strong hand.

Notes

In actual play, SB Flop 4-Bet Dry is not common. It requires the player to have precise reads on board texture and opponent ranges. Overusing it can cost value and make the player exploitable.
