SB Fold to 4-Bet
SB Fold to 4-Bet
Term: 小盲位对4-bet弃牌率(SB Fold to 4-Bet) The frequency with which the small blind player chooses to fold when facing a 4-bet from an opponent, usually expressed as a percentage.
Concept
SB Fold to 4-Bet is a statistical metric in Texas Hold'em used to measure the folding tendency of a player in the small blind position when facing a 4-bet. It is part of HUD ( Heads-Up Display) data, helping players analyze opponents' playing styles.
Calculation Method
This metric is calculated by dividing the number of times the small blind player folds after facing a 4-bet by the total number of such encounters. For example, if the small blind folds 8 times out of 10 when facing a 4-bet, their Fold to 4-Bet is 80%.
Usage Scenarios
- Assess Tightness: A high fold rate (e.g., over 70%) often indicates that the small blind player is too tight-weak when facing a 4-bet and can be exploited; a low fold rate (e.g., under 40%) suggests the player may be overly aggressive or have a wider strong hand range.
- Adjust Strategy: If an opponent's SB Fold to 4-Bet is high, you can increase your 4-bet frequency against the small blind, exploiting their tendency to fold. Conversely, if the opponent's fold rate is low, be cautious with 4-bets to avoid being called or re-raised.
- Combine with Other Data: This metric should be analyzed together with VPIP, PFR, SB 3-Bet, and other data to avoid sample bias. For instance, if the small blind's 3-Bet Range is narrow, their fold rate to 4-bets may naturally be higher.
Notes
- Data may be unreliable with small sample sizes; it is generally recommended to have at least 50 samples for meaningful reference.
- Reasonable ranges may differ across stake levels and game types (e.g., cash games vs. tournaments).
- This statistic only reflects the actions of the small blind position in isolation and does not account for table dynamics or opponent image.
