小盲位河牌成对延迟持续下注(SB River Delayed C-Bet Paired)

SB River Delayed C-Bet Paired

A delayed continuation bet executed by the small blind player on the river when the board is paired, after not betting on the flop or turn.

Concept

A Delayed C-Bet refers to a situation where the pre-flop aggressor does not continuation bet on the flop, but instead places their first bet on the turn or river. When the board pairs on the river (e.g., a pair or trips appears among the community cards), the small blind player employs this strategy, known as "SB River Delayed C-Bet Paired".

Application Scenarios

A typical scenario: after the small blind calls or raises pre-flop, the flop texture is dry or unfavorable to their range, so they choose to check; they also check on the turn; on the river, the board pairs, and they now bet with a hand that would otherwise be given up, representing that they have hit trips or two pair, thereby forcing the opponent to fold. This strategy is often used as a Bluff or a Value Bet, depending on hand strength.

Strategic Considerations

  • Range Construction: The small blind has a wider range pre-flop. Delayed betting can balance the range, ensuring they have both value hands and bluffs on a paired river.
  • Opponent Tendencies: More effective against opponents who fold frequently; use caution against calling stations.
  • Board Dynamics: A Paired River reduces the likelihood of completed draws but increases the possibility of high pairs or trips, making the bet threatening.

Notes

This term specifically refers to the small blind's bet in a specific street and board structure. It should be applied in conjunction with position, Stack Depth, and opponent tendencies.
