小盲转牌双发(静态牌面)(SB Turn Double Barrel Static)
Small blind player's strategy of continuing to bet on the turn after a continuation bet on the flop, when a static card that has little impact on the board structure is dealt on the turn.
Strategy Overview
After the small blind (SB) usually has a narrower preflop range and makes a continuation bet (C-Bet) on the flop, if the turn card is a static card (i.e., it does not change the nuttiness of the board, does not complete obvious draws, and does not add many new draw possibilities), then following up with a Double Barrel is a common aggressive play. This strategy aims to leverage a range advantage while out of position (always acting first postflop) to force opponents to fold medium-strength hands or draws, while also protecting one's own value hands.
Applicable Scenarios
- Turn card is static: For example, flop is K♠8♥3♦, turn is 2♣, the board remains dry and difficult for opponents to connect.
- Opponent's range is weak: After calling the flop, the opponent's range consists mostly of weak pairs or draws; if the turn does not improve them, their fold rate is high.
- Own range is representative: SB's flop betting range includes both strong hands and bluffs; continuing on the turn maximizes the effect of a polarized strategy.
Notes
- Do not overuse: If both flop and turn are too static, opponents may see through the bluff; mix value hands with bluffs.
- Consider stack depth: With deep stacks, the turn bet requires planning for the river action to avoid getting into trouble.
- Opponent tendencies: Against calling stations, reduce bluffs and increase value bets.
