UTG+1位河牌单色面全下(UTG+1 River Jam Monotone)
指玩家位于UTG+1位置时,在河牌圈牌面全部为同一花色的情况下选择全下(Jam)。
Position and Scenario
UTG+1 (under-the-gun+1) is the second acting position to the left of the big blind, with a typically tight preflop range. "River Jam" refers to pushing all chips into the pot on the river. "Monotone" means that all five community cards (flop, turn, river) are of the same suit, e.g., all ♠.
Strategic Implications
- Value Bet: When UTG+1 holds the nut flush or a big pair (e.g., AA which completes a flush draw) in that suit, shoving extracts maximum value, as opponents may call with weaker flushes or straights.
- Bluff: If UTG+1's range contains unimproved hands (e.g., top pair or a missed draw), on a monotone board they may exploit opponents' lack of strong flushes to bluff, but must consider fold equity. Bets on monotone boards generally represent strong made hands, so bluffing frequency should be low to avoid being caught.
- Range-Board Interaction: After raising preflop, UTG+1's flop continuation bet (C-Bet) range is tight. On a river monotone board, flush completion is the obvious nut hand; players need to balance value and bluffs. Typically, UTG+1 is more likely to shove with the A or K of that suit, while small flushes or marginal hands may check.
Typical Example
Assume blinds 10/20, effective stacks 2000. UTG+1 opens for a raise, big blind calls. Flop: A♠K♠5♠. Big blind checks, UTG+1 bets, big blind calls. Turn: Q♠. Both check. River: 2♠ (board: A♠K♠5♠Q♠2♠, all ♠). Big blind checks. Here, if UTG+1 holds J♠T♠ (nut flush), shoving is standard value; if holding A♣K♥ (no ♠), shoving could be a bluff but is risky as opponent's range may contain flushes.
Notes
Shoving on a monotone board requires deep consideration of opponent's range and one's own hand strength. UTG+1's position does not expose suit information preflop; a river shove should be based on whether the opponent is likely to hold a flush, as well as one's own table image. In general, high-frequency bluff shoves on monotone boards are not recommended unless there is a specific read.
