Charles Geier

Charles Geier, often referred to as "Ted" Geier, is an American poker player based in Sunnyside, New York. He has been active in the poker tournament scene, particularly in the WSOP Circuit and Borgata series, recording several cashes between 2010 and 2025. His career earnings from recorded events total over $11,000.

Geier's first recorded cash came in December 2010 at the WSOP Circuit Regional Championship at Harrah's Atlantic City. In Event #1: $350 No-Limit Hold'em, he finished 10th out of 1,250 players, earning $5,136. Two years later, at the same venue, he placed 70th in a $350 No-Limit Hold'em Re-entry event for $696 (November 2012).

Geier achieved multiple cashes at the Borgata in Atlantic City. During the 2011 Borgata Winter Poker Open, he finished 9th in Event #4 ($560 + $60 NLHE) for $3,327. In that hand, his pocket tens ran into Paul Lam's pocket kings on a board of A-Q-Q-6-J, sending him out in ninth place.

At the 2011 Borgata Spring Poker Open, Geier placed 11th in Event 20 ($1,500 + $150 NLHE) for $4,596. He moved all-in on a flop of 6-4-2 with A-T offsuit against Jeremy Shor's 9-6, but Shor turned two pair to eliminate Geier.

In November 2025, Geier cashed in the $200 Semi-Turbo Deep Stack event at the Bar Poker Open Atlantic City Championship, finishing 14th out of 150 entries for $470.

Based on limited hand history, Geier appears to be an aggressive player willing to move all-in with top pairs or overcards. He is sometimes listed as "Charles Geier" and other times as "Charles 'Ted' Geier," suggesting "Ted" is a common nickname.
