During the 2010 EPT Deauville Main Event, Fontaine was involved in a dramatic hand against James Sudworth. Fontaine first cracked Sudworth's pocket aces with pocket jacks, but later got his chips in with K♠Q♠ against Sudworth's J♣J♦ and failed to improve, busting just before the end of a level. This hand was reported by PokerNews.

Fontaine was interviewed by Gaëlle Garcia Diaz at the 2010 Belgian Open Poker Championships (BOPC), indicating his presence in the Belgian poker scene during that period.
