Keith Boniface

Keith Boniface was born in May 1954 in the United Kingdom. He attended Sinjuns high school from 1966 to 1973, then earned a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Bristol (1973–1976). During university, he supported himself by playing backgammon.

Boniface spent 37 years in business, holding director and managing director roles at financial firms including TEBC Ltd, HeathWallace, TPEC, and co-founding Brooklands International. In 2013, he sold his pension company Agility Pensions to Confiance and retired to Malta before eventually settling in Las Vegas.

After selling his business, Boniface moved to Las Vegas in December 2016, describing himself as a "retired grumpy old man" on LinkedIn. He began playing poker full-time, leveraging his mathematical background. He notes that retirement became boring, prompting his return to competitive poker.

Boniface's poker success is concentrated in 2022, when he cashed in multiple WSOP events and won a WSOP Circuit ring:

At the WSOP Circuit Bally's 2022 series, he won Event #17A ($4,761) out of 76 players, earning his first WSOP Circuit ring. He also cashed in Event #17B (16th, $367) and Event #14 Double Stack (22nd, $974).

These results bring his total WSOP winnings to $63,063, with 28 cashes and one final table.

Boniface's LinkedIn profile humorously states he is "retired, concentrating on the important things in life — like despising almost all Americans." He resides in Henderson, Nevada, and previously lived between Marbella, Las Vegas, and Malta. Known for his dry wit, he remains a distinctive personality in the poker community.
