Minjoo Cho

Minjoo Cho (also recorded as Miyoung Cho) is a South Korean professional poker player who has rapidly risen to prominence in the Asian live tournament scene. Based in Osaka, Japan, she competes heavily in major regional circuits such as the Asian Poker Tour (APT), Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT), and World Poker Tour (WPT). With career earnings exceeding $150,000 Cho has established herself as a consistent deep-run threat across a variety of buy-in levels and formats.

Cho's biggest career score came in October 2025 at the APPT Manila Championship, where she finished 2nd in the PHP 500,000 APPT Super High Roller for PHP 3,310,000 ($56,854) in a field of 32 entries. She also took down the WPT Cambodia 2026 Super High Roller Warm-Up in January 2026, a $5,000 buy-in event with a field of 15, earning $34,200. Other notable wins include victories at the APT Manila Classic 2025 in the PHP 12,000 Turbo – Double Stack ($3,233) and the APPT Manila PHP 25,000 SuperStack (~$6,612) in July 2025.

Cho is known for an aggressive and highly adaptable playing style. She is equally comfortable navigating large-field Main Events as she is in elite, small-field High Rollers, demonstrating strong ICM understanding.
