Tobias Duthweiler

Tobias Duthweiler is a German professional poker player who has accumulated over $4.2 million in live tournament earnings, ranking 26th on Germany's all-time money list. He is recognized for his deep runs in high-stakes events and his calm, analytical approach at the tables.

Duthweiler began playing online under the nicknames "dudd1" on PokerStars and "moneybyebye" on Americas Cardroom. His first live cash came in June 2015 at the World Series of Poker (WSOP), where he placed in the money in the $1,500 Millionaire Maker event. Over the next few years, he steadily built his tournament resume with cashes at the WSOP and other major series.

Duthweiler's first significant live score came in January 2019 when he finished fourth in the Merit Poker Western Tournament Main Event in Cyprus, earning over $100,000. Later that year, he placed eighth in the partypoker Millions Vegas Main Event for $100,000 and reached the money in the WSOP Main Event, finishing 66th for nearly $120,000. In September 2021, he was runner-up in the partypoker Millions North Cyprus High Roller, collecting around $265,000. His career-best result occurred in May 2023 at the Triton Poker Series Luxon Invitational in Cyprus, a $210,000 buy-in event. Duthweiler entered the final table as the short stack but battled to heads-up play against Ramin Hacıyev. After a deal, he secured over $3.6 million, the largest payout of his career.

In August 2020, Duthweiler revealed that his GGPoker account under the nickname "Ben ABC" had been banned and $180,000 in funds confiscated. He had previously been banned from the GGNetwork for alleged bumhunting (targeting weak players) but created a new account on a different skin. GGPoker confiscated the balance, returning only his initial $50,000 deposit as a gesture of goodwill. The incident sparked widespread debate in the poker community, with many players criticizing the network's security and policies. Eventually, GGPoker allowed him to reactivate his account, and he went on to earn four cashes in WSOP Online events under his real name on the platform.

Duthweiler is known for a conservative yet opportunistic style, excelling in deep-stacked tournament phases. He values position and selective aggression, often waiting for premium spots rather than forcing action. His ability to navigate final tables with short stacks, as seen in his Triton runner-up finish, highlights his composure and strategic adaptability.
