40大盲反偷(40bb Resteal)

40bb Resteal

在筹码深度约40个大盲注时,面对对手的偷盲加注进行的反击加注策略。

Overview

The 40bb Resteal is a specific strategy in Texas Hold'em for restealing blinds at a particular stack depth. When a player has approximately 40 big blinds (40bb) and faces a steal raise from an opponent in position (e.g., the button), they use a wide range to 3-bet in order to contest the pot and apply pressure.

Stack Depth Impact

40bb falls in the medium-deep stack range, between short stacks (<20bb) and deep stacks (>80bb). At this depth, the risk-reward of restealing is relatively balanced:

  • Reward: Successfully stealing the blinds and the opponent's raise can significantly increase your stack.
  • Risk: If the opponent 4-bets or calls, you may end up in a disadvantageous postflop situation.

Strategic Principles

  • Range Selection: Typically uses a wider range, including medium pairs, suited connectors, A-X suited hands, etc., to balance value and bluffs. Example: After a button steal, 3-bet from the big blind with hands like 66, A5s, K9s, etc.
  • Bet Sizing: Generally raise to 3-4 times the opponent's raise. For instance, if the opponent opens to 2.5bb, resteal to 7-10bb.
  • Subsequent Adjustments: If faced with a 4-bet, decide whether to shove based on opponent tendencies; if called, proceed cautiously postflop.

Notes

  • Opponent tendencies: More effective against frequent stealers; avoid against tight players.
  • Position factor: Restealing from the big blind is more common than from the small blind.
  • ICM considerations: In tournaments, near the bubble, reduce risky actions.
