大盲位10BB反偷盲(BB 10bb Resteal)
When effective stack is about 10 big blinds, the strategy of the big blind player making a pre-flop re-raise against a blind stealer.
Concept
BB 10bb Resteal is a specific restealing strategy for a particular stack depth. When the big blind player holds around 10 big blinds and faces a steal raise from the small blind or an earlier position, they choose to re-raise (usually all-in or close to all-in) to force the stealer to fold and win the pot.
Strategy Background
In tournaments or cash games, when the stack is short (around 10bb), the big blind has a high fold rate because post-flop play is difficult after calling. Stealers often take advantage of this by raising with a wide range. The big blind can counter by restealing, using the opponent's fold equity to gain risk-free chips.
- Effective Stack: Around 10bb. At this depth, the big blind's re-raise is typically all-in, as a small raise would leave a low SPR and be passive post-flop.
- Opponent's Range: Stealers usually raise with about 40%-60% of hands. The resteal requires assessing the opponent's fold frequency.
- Own Range: The big blind should choose hands with some showdown value, such as A-high, pairs, suited connectors, etc., and avoid blindly restealing with very weak hands.
Example
Effective stacks: big blind 10bb, small blind 8bb. Small blind raises to 2.5bb. Big blind holds A♠7♠ and shoves for 10bb. If small blind folds, big blind nets 2.5bb; if called, big blind has about 45%-55% equity.
Risks and Considerations
- If the resteal is called, the big blind may be at a disadvantage; pot odds must be calculated.
- Opponents may adjust by trapping with strong hands.
- In tournaments, consider ICM pressure; be more cautious near the bubble or money spots.
