大盲注20BB 3-Bet全下(BB 20bb 3-Bet Jam)

BB 20bb 3-Bet Jam

The strategy of shoving all-in as a 3-bet from the big blind when effective stacks are around 20 big blinds, facing an opponent's raise.

Overview

BB 20bb 3-Bet Jam is a common and efficient blind-stealing and re-stealing strategy in Texas Hold'em, applicable in short-stack stages of tournaments or cash games. When the big blind player's effective stack is approximately 20 big blinds (BB), facing a raise from any position, they choose to go directly All-in for a 3-Bet instead of a standard-sized raise.

Strategy Logic

  • Stack Depth: 20BB is within the short-stack range. Shoving has strong deterrence, forcing opponents to fold or face significant risk.
  • Range Advantage: The Big Blind position has the last action, and the 20BB shoving range is typically wide, including value hands (e.g., pairs, strong A-high) and some bluff hands (e.g., suited connectors, small pairs), providing good balance.
  • Re-steal: Against steal raises from positions like the small blind or button, the Big Blind's shove effectively protects the blinds and picks up additional dead money.

Execution Points

  • Opponent Tendencies: If opponents fold too often, expand the shoving range; if they call frequently, tighten the range.
  • Position Factor: The later the opponent's raising position (e.g., button), the wider their range, and the higher the expected value of the big blind shove.
  • ICM Impact: In late tournament stages, consider ICM pressure to avoid being eliminated when called.

Typical Scenario

  • Opponent raises 2.5BB from the cutoff. Big blind has 20BB chips and chooses to shove. Opponent needs to call 17.5BB to contest the pot; with weak hands, they usually fold.

Notes

This strategy is not absolute; it should be adjusted based on opponent style, tournament stage, and dynamics. It works best when opponents have a tight calling range.
