大盲注25bb反偷盲(BB 25bb Resteal)

BB 25bb Resteal

In the big blind BB facing a raise from a short stack about 25bb, re-raise with a wider range to steal the dead money in the pot.

Applicable Scenarios

BB 25bb Resteal mainly occurs in tournaments or deep-stacked cash games. When a player in the small blind or early position open-raises with approximately 25 big blinds (bb), the big blind player, believing the raising range is wide and the opponent's fold rate is high, re-raises (usually a 3bet) to resteal.

Strategy Principles

  • Stack Depth: When the opponent has about 25bb, the proportion of dead money in the pot after their raise is large, and the opponent's calling or re-raising range is relatively tight and weak, which is favorable for the big blind player to contest the pot with medium-strength hands or speculative hands.
  • Position Advantage: The big blind is at a disadvantage after the flop due to position, but by restealing they can take down the pot early; if the opponent calls, the big blind needs to plan a post-flop strategy.

Typical Range

  • Typically includes: medium pairs (99+), suited connectors (e.g., 76s), suited gappers (e.g., T8s), and some Ace-high hands (e.g., A7s).
  • Avoid using: very weak hands (e.g., 72o) or strong hands (e.g., AA, KK, which should be slow-played).

Precautions

  • Consider opponent tendencies: If the opponent's fold rate is low, frequent resteals are not advisable.
  • Own stack size: The big blind's own stack should also be deep enough (e.g., 30bb+) to withstand variance.
  • Tournament stage: When close to the money bubble or at high blind levels, ICM pressure may influence decisions.
