Strategic Logic

• Rainbow flop: A rainbow board means no flush draws exist, reducing the opponent's drawing hands (only straight draws or backdoor flushes). Therefore, on the river the opponent's range contains a higher proportion of made hands, but a delayed c-bet can exploit the fact that the opponent’s range may be weaker after they checked the flop.
• Advantage of delayed c-bet: Compared to an immediate c-bet on the flop, a delayed c-bet allows the BB to see more community cards on the river, enabling a more accurate assessment of hand strength. Meanwhile, the opponent may expect the BB to bet on the flop when holding a strong hand, so a sudden river bet creates greater pressure.
