BTN位10BB反偷盲(BTN 10bb Resteal)
BTN 10bb Resteal
In Texas Hold'em, refers to a strategy where a player in the button position BTN with about 10 big blinds BB chips re-raises re-steal against a blind stealing raise from the blind positions.
Background and Meaning
BTN 10bb [Resteal] is a common aggressive strategy in tournaments or deep-stacked cash games. When a player on the button with roughly 10 big blinds faces a blind-stealing raise (usually 2–2.5 BB) from either the small blind or big blind, they choose to go all-in or make a large re–raise to force the opponent to fold and collect the dead money in the pot.
Applicable Scenarios
- Opponent Range Awareness: When the blind player has a high steal frequency (e.g., the big blind frequently raises when it folds to the button), a [Resteal] effectively punishes their loose raising range.
- [Stack Depth]: Around 10 BB is the most common stack depth for restealing. If the stack is deeper (>20 BB), the risk of restealing increases; if it is shallower (<8 BB), a direct all-in is usually better.
- [Position Advantage]: The [Button] itself has a positional advantage. Even if the resteal is called, the button still acts last postflop.
Execution Points
- Range Selection: Typically use hands with postflop playability (e.g., [A5s], [K9s], small pairs) or strong hands (e.g., [TT]+, AQ+). Restealing with pure garbage is too risky and generally not recommended.
- Bet Sizing: In most cases, go all-in directly. When you have 10 BB and raise to 3 BB, the pot is already large, and the remaining stack is too small for a small bet. In some situations, you can raise to 2.5–3 BB and prepare to call an opponent's all-in, but an all-in is simpler.
- Opponent Reaction: If the blind player calls or re–raises, you must continue the decision based on pot odds and the opponent's range.
Notes
Restealing is not 100% effective and requires dynamic adjustment. If the blind player folds often, you can widen your resteal range; if the opponent is tight and passive, you should reduce it. Also, be mindful of [ICM pressure] in tournaments, especially near the bubble or the money.
Names and Habits
In the Chinese poker community, it is often shortened to "10BB resteal" or "[BTN Resteal]". Beginners should first understand the basic concepts of [Steal] and Resteal before attempting this strategy.
