按钮位翻牌前加注率(BTN PFR)

BTN PFR

A statistical indicator that measures how often a player voluntarily raises pre-flop from the button position.

Overview

BTN PFR is a commonly used position statistic in poker tracking software (such as Hold'em Manager or PokerTracker), representing the frequency with which a player raises pre-flop from the button (BTN). This value is calculated as "Hands raised from the button / Total hands from the button" and is typically displayed as a percentage.

Meaning and Usage

BTN PFR reflects a player's aggressive tendencies from the button. Since the button is the most advantageous position post-flop, aggressive players will use this advantage to raise with a wide range of hands, resulting in a usually high BTN PFR value (e.g., 40%-60%). Conversely, conservative players may have a BTN PFR below 20%.

In strategy, BTN PFR is used to evaluate an opponent's steal frequency and overall range. A high BTN PFR player may raise with a wide range from the button, including weak suited connectors or small pairs; a low BTN PFR indicates a tendency to raise only with strong hands.

Typical Values

  • Tight-Aggressive (TAG) players: approximately 20%-30%
  • Loose-Aggressive (LAG) players: approximately 40%-60%
  • Aggressive exploitative players: can reach above 70%

Actual values are influenced by table dynamics, opponent styles, and stack depth. In 6-max games, the typical range is wider than in 9-max games.

Related Statistics

When used together with VPIP (Voluntarily Put Money In Pot), it helps determine a player's passivity. If BTN PFR is close to VPIP, it indicates that the player almost never limps from the button.
