CO位持续下注(C-Bet from CO)
C-Bet from CO
在翻牌圈由关煞位(CO)玩家进行的持续下注。
Overview
C-Bet from CO refers to a bet made on the flop by the player who was the last raiser or the player who entered the pot from the Cut Off (CO) position on the previous street. Due to its positional advantage (second only to the Button), the CO is a common position for preflop raises, leading to a higher frequency of continuation bets postflop.
Strategic Significance
Continuation bets from the CO generally have the following characteristics:
- Range Advantage: The CO's preflop raising range is wide, including strong hands, draws, and some bluffs. On the flop, even if the hand misses, the CO can use this range advantage to bet and force opponents to fold.
- Position Advantage: The CO acts first on the flop (if they raised preflop and no one re-raised), but there are still players on the Button (BTN) and in the blinds to act later. Therefore, when betting, the CO must evaluate the possibility of strong hands on the Button to avoid being called and then placed in a disadvantageous spot.
- Stack Depth: With deep stacks, the CO can consider a larger bet size to apply pressure; with short stacks, bets tend to be more value-oriented.
Typical Scenarios
- Heads-Up Pot: The CO raises preflop and only the Big Blind (BB) calls. On a dry flop, the CO can bet about 2/3 of the pot, representing top pair or an overpair, forcing the BB to fold missed draws.
- Multiway Pot: The CO raises preflop, and both the Button and Small Blind call. On a connected flop (e.g., two-tone with connectors), the CO should be cautious with a continuation bet, as the Button may hold flush or straight draws. In this case, the bet size can be slightly larger, while also being prepared to fold if raised.
Points to Note
- Flop Texture: On dry boards (e.g., K-7-2 rainbow), a high frequency of continuation bets is appropriate; on wet boards (e.g., 9-8-6 two-tone), frequency should be reduced to avoid being raised by draws.
- Opponent Type: Against calling stations, reduce bluff c-bets; against tight-aggressive players, bluffs can be increased.
- Position Interaction: If the CO raises preflop and the Button does not 3-bet, the Button's calling range typically includes small to medium pairs, suited connectors, etc. The CO's continuation bet should consider whether these hands will float or call.
