CO位20bb泡沫阶段打法(CO 20bb Bubble Play)
CO 20bb Bubble Play
During the tournament bubble period, with a stack of approximately 20 big blinds, the CO position player's strategy focuses on balancing blind stealing with avoiding elimination risk.
Bubble Stage Background
The bubble stage is the moment in a tournament closest to the money, where players tend to play conservatively due to ICM (Independent Chip Model) pressure, avoiding elimination. The CO position has positional advantage, allowing for more effective blind steals and squeezes, but with 20bb, the stack is neither large enough to withstand multiple folds after raises nor small enough to easily shove all-in; careful hand selection is required.
Opening Range
- Typically, a raising range of about 20-25% of hands can be considered, including medium pairs (66+), suited connectors (e.g., T9s), AX suited, etc.
- Avoid marginal hands like KJo and QTo, as they can easily get into trouble when called or re-raised by the big blind.
- If the blinds are tight, the range can be expanded; if the blinds have a tendency to 3-bet frequently, tighten it.
Response to 3-bets
- If the small blind or big blind 3-bets, the decision depends on the opponent's stack size and tendencies:
- If the opponent has a healthy stack (30bb+), folding is usually advisable to preserve chips for continued stealing.
- If the opponent has a short stack (around 15bb), consider 4-bet shoving with strong hands (e.g., TT+, AQ+), using ICM pressure to force a fold.
- Avoid calling 3-bets with medium-strength hands, as post-flop play becomes difficult and may lead to giving up the pot.
All-in and Call Considerations
- After raising from CO, if the small or big blind shoves (around 20bb or less), decide based on pot odds and opponent's range:
- The calling range is typically TT+ and AQ+, but against loose players it can be widened to 99+ and AJs+.
- Against a tight player's raise, folding may be the better choice due to high risk.
Summary
The core of CO 20bb bubble play is: leverage position and ICM pressure to actively steal blinds, while avoiding large pots and confrontations. Maintain foldability, and only commit your entire stack with strong hands.
