Poker Term

CO位翻牌前加注后的湿润牌面双枪(CO Preflop Double Barrel Wet)

Refers to a strategy where a player, after raising preflop from the CO cutoff position, continues to bet on both the flop and turn on a wet draw-heavy board.

Overview

CO Preflop Double Barrel Wet is a poker strategy term that combines three elements: position, betting timing, and board structure. "CO" refers to the Cut Off, the position to the right of the dealer button, which is the last active position preflop (excluding the button), offering positional advantage. "Preflop Double Barrel" typically means raising preflop, then continuing to bet on the flop and turn (i.e., first barrel and second barrel). "Wet" describes a flop board that is coordinated, containing multiple drawing possibilities (such as straight draws, flush draws, or pair+draw), making the board highly dynamic with potential to complete strong hands.

Strategy Logic

The core of this strategy leverages the CO's positional advantage and the strong range represented by the preflop raise to apply continuous pressure on wet boards, forcing opponents to fold unimproved hands or draws. On wet boards, opponents' made hand ranges are often weaker, and continued betting maximizes fold equity. Typical scenario example: CO raises with A♠K♠, flop comes J♠T♠2♦ (double flush and straight draw board), turn is 7♥, at which point CO's continued betting represents a strong range, making it difficult for opponents with medium pairs or draws to call two streets.

Considerations

  • This strategy is sensitive to stack depth: with deep stacks, opponents are more likely to call with draws; with shallow stacks, fold equity is higher.
  • Opponent style must be considered: works better against loose-passive opponents, but may face raises against tight-aggressive opponents.
  • Not all wet boards are suitable for a double barrel: if the turn significantly improves opponents' drawing ranges, caution is needed.
