HJ位4-bet底池转牌策略(HJ 4-Bet Pot Turn Strategy)
HJ 4-Bet Pot Turn Strategy
A general strategy for making decisions on the turn based on the board texture, opponent range, and pot odds in a pot formed by a preflop 4-bet from the HJ position.
Overview
HJ 4-Bet Pot Turn Strategy refers to the play after a player in the Hijack (UTG+1) position makes a 4-bet preflop against an opponent's 3-bet, then enters the flop and reaches the turn. Since 4-bet pots typically have a low stack-to-pot ratio (SPR), turn actions require greater focus on range balance and polarized betting.
Strategy Elements
- Range Considerations: The HJ's 4-bet range usually includes strong hands (e.g., AA, KK, AKs) as well as some mixed ranges (e.g., A5s, KQo). On the turn, decisions to continue betting or check should be based on board texture.
- Bet Sizing: In 4-bet pots, turn bets are typically 2/3 to 75% of the pot, with all-in bets also common. Sizing should be adjusted based on the opponent's range—for example, smaller bets on dry boards and possible all-ins on wet boards.
- Check-Raise Strategy: Some strong hands (e.g., sets, top pair) can be checked to bluff opponents, but the checking range must be balanced to avoid exploitation.
Typical Example
- Preflop: HJ 4-bets; flop: continuation bet is called. On the turn, if a flush or straight draw appears and you hold top pair or an overpair, a medium-sized value bet is appropriate. If you hold air (e.g., A5s that missed), consider check-folding or semi-bluff betting.
Notes
- Against aggressive opponents, expand your checking range to protect weaknesses; against passive opponents, use more bets to exploit them.
- Turn actions must review preflop and flop information to avoid straying from balance.
