HJ WWSF

Term: Hijack Win When See Flop HJ WWSF Statistic tracking how often a player in the hijack position wins the pot after seeing the flop Win When See Flop.

# [Hijack](/term/hijack) [Position](/term/position) Post-Flop [Win Rate](/term/win-rate) ([HJ WWSF](/term/hj-wwsf))

## Overview

[WWSF](/term/wwsf) (Win When See Flop) is an important metric used in poker tracking software to evaluate a player's post-flop skill. It represents the percentage of times a player wins the pot after seeing the flop. When combined with a specific [position](/term/position), such as the [Hijack](/term/hijack) (HJ), it becomes "[HJ WWSF](/term/hj-wwsf)," reflecting the player's post-flop [win rate](/term/win-rate) from the hijack position.

## Calculation

[WWSF](/term/wwsf) is calculated using the formula: WWSF = (Number of pots won after seeing the flop) / (Total number of pots where the flop was seen) × 100%. Typically, this metric only counts hands where the player voluntarily entered the pot and saw the flop, excluding those folded pre-flop. For example, if a player sees the flop 100 times from the hijack position and wins 45 of those pots, the HJ WWSF is 45%.

## Normal Range

- Low-stakes cash games: Approximately 45%–50% is considered normal.
- High-stakes or professional players: May reach 50%–[55](/term/55)%, indicating strong post-flop decision-making abilities.
- Below 40% usually suggests significant post-flop leaks, such as folding too much or bluffing too little.

## Application Strategy

- If an opponent's HJ WWSF is too high (over [55](/term/55)%), they are difficult to [bluff](/term/bluff) post-flop from the hijack; attack them with strong value hands.
- If an opponent's HJ WWSF is too low (under 40%), you can frequently continuation [bet](/term/bet) [bluff](/term/bluff) against them or [exploit](/term/exploit) their folding tendencies to [steal](/term/steal) pots.
- Players should monitor their own HJ WWSF and avoid entering too many pots from the hijack only to lose frequently post-flop.

## Limitations

WWSF is influenced by factors such as pot size, opponent style, and [table dynamics](/term/table-dynamics), so it cannot fully reflect a player's true skill. It is recommended to interpret it alongside other data like [VPIP](/term/vpip), [PFR](/term/pfr), [AF](/term/af), etc. Additionally, when the [sample size](/term/sample-size) is insufficient, this metric may have significant [variance](/term/variance).
