中间位持续下注策略(中间位持续下注策略)
A strategy where a player in middle position on the flop, after raising pre-flop, continues betting on the flop continuation bet or c-bet.
Overview
Middle position continuation betting is a common strategy in Texas Hold'em, applicable to players who raised preflop from middle position (MP) and choose to continuation bet on the flop. The core of this strategy is to leverage positional advantage and preflop raise representation to apply pressure on opponents and claim pot equity.
Key Factors
- Flop board texture: Players should adjust continuation bet frequency based on how wet or dry the flop is. Dry flops (e.g., no flush or straight draws) are more favorable for continuation betting, while wet flops (e.g., connected or suited boards) require caution.
- Opponent range: After a middle position raise, the calling range of subsequent players is usually tighter; a continuation bet can force opponents to fold weak hands.
- Own hand strength: Continuation betting is more effective with strong made hands, draws, or mixed hands; with air hands, consider fold equity.
Pros and Cons
Pros: Can win pots, gain information, and balance range. Cons: If used too frequently, easily exploited by opponents; continuation betting on wet flops can lead to trouble.
Typical Application
After a positional disadvantage opponent calls, the middle position player can bet about two-thirds of the pot on the flop to test the opponent's reaction. If facing a raise, choose to fold or defend depending on hand and board.
Notes
Adjust based on opponent tendencies, avoid mechanical betting. Also be aware of your own image to prevent being specifically exploited.
