Poker Term

小盲翻牌前下注-跟注湿润牌面(SB Preflop Bet-Call Wet)

Term: sb-preflop-bet-call-wet Refers to the strategic situation where the small blind first raises preflop, then calls opponent's re-raise, and faces a wet flop.

Overview

This term describes a specific poker situation: after the Small Blind (SB) opens for a raise preflop, faces a 3-bet from an opponent (usually the Big Blind or Button), the Small Blind calls, and then the flop comes with one or more cards that create flush and straight possibilities, making the board wet. "Wet" here refers to a flop texture that is wet, meaning there are multiple drawing possibilities (such as flush draws, straight draws), which favors the player with a wider range.

Strategy Points

  • Preflop Range: The Small Blind's calling range usually includes strong hands (like AA, KK that were not re-raised), medium pairs, suited connectors, etc. After calling, the pot is larger.
  • Postflop Decision: On a wet flop, the Small Blind needs to carefully evaluate their hand strength against the opponent's range. If holding top pair or stronger, it is suitable to bet or raise. If only holding a draw, consider calling or folding to avoid over-committing.
  • Opponent's Range: The opponent's 3-bet range is usually strong, but on wet boards, the opponent may also use draws to continuation bet (C-bet). The Small Blind should adjust strategy based on opponent tendencies.

Example

Suppose preflop, the Small Blind raises to 3BB, the Big Blind 3-bets to 10BB, and the Small Blind calls. The flop comes J♠T♠5♥ (flush and straight draws). The Small Blind holds K♠Q♠ (top pair with flush draw). In this case, they should lead bet or raise. If holding 9♥8♥ (gutshot straight draw), calling or folding is better.

Notes

This term is more commonly seen in advanced strategy discussions. In actual play, adjustments should be made dynamically based on stack depth, opponent data, and other factors.
