However, the positional label (UTG, cutoff, etc.) depends on the button's location, not the seat number itself. Seat numbers remain fixed; the button rotates. This means that the same player in Seat 1 could be in different strategic positions from hand to hand.

While seat number alone does not determine positional advantage, Seat 1 often falls within early position (e.g., UTG or UTG+1) when the button is across the table. Being in early position is disadvantageous because the player acts early in the betting round with less information about opponents' actions.
