UTG+1 河牌圈四次加注(湿面)(UTG+1 River 4-Bet Wet)
On the river, the player in UTG+1 makes a 4-bet, and the board is wet multiple flush or straight draws possible.
Position: UTG+1
UTG+1 (Under the Gun +1) is the position immediately after UTG, classified as an early position. Players in this position act before several opponents who have yet to act, thus requiring strong hand strength to raise or call. The range of an UTG+1 player is typically tight, especially in multiway pots.
Four-Bet (4-Bet)
A 4-Bet refers to the fourth raise after three previous raises have occurred on the flop or turn. A 4-Bet on the river is extremely rare because the river typically offers only one street of betting, and a 4-Bet implies that three raises have already taken place (e.g., bet, raise, re-raise). At this point, the player's range is highly polarized, consisting of either the nuts or air.
Wet Board
A wet board refers to a board texture that offers numerous possible draws, such as flush draws or straight draws. For example, a board of 7♠8♠9♠J♠T♥ presents high potential for both flushes and straights. On a wet board, the ratio of made hands to draws in a player's range requires careful evaluation.
Strategic Implications
An UTG+1 player making a 4-Bet on the river on a wet board typically indicates that the player holds a nuts-level made hand (e.g., a full house or better flush), as many draws have completed on the wet board. An early-position player making such an extreme raise on the river suggests extreme hand strength. Opponents should proceed with caution to avoid being bluffed or overpaying.
Notes
- In actual gameplay, a river 4-Bet almost exclusively occurs in deep-stack scenarios or with specific hand configurations.
- This term describes an extremely aggressive line; beginners should avoid overusing it.
