枪口位转牌下注弃牌(彩虹面)(UTG Turn Bet-Fold Rainbow)
在翻牌为彩虹面(三张不同花色)的情况下,枪口位置玩家在转牌圈主动下注,随后面对加注选择弃牌的一种玩法。
Term Composition
- UTG: Under the Gun, the first position to act preflop, typically indicating a tighter range.
- Turn: The fourth community card.
- Bet-Fold: Betting first, then folding to a raise from the opponent. This is a common probing play with small bets.
- Rainbow: The flop has three cards of different suits, i.e., a rainbow board, which reduces the likelihood of a flush draw, thus emphasizing the value of pairs.
Strategy Principle
On a rainbow flop with a relatively dry board (e.g., Q-7-2 rainbow), if the UTG player holds top pair or a medium pair, betting on the turn can extract value and protect their hand. However, if the UTG’s continuation bet is raised by an opponent, it usually means the opponent has a stronger made hand or draw (e.g., an open-ended straight draw, which is still possible on a rainbow board). In that case, folding is a reasonable choice to avoid excessive loss.
Typical Scenario
Example: Flop is Q♠ 7♦ 2♣ (rainbow), turn is 3♠. UTG player holds A♥ Q♣ and bets about two-thirds of the pot on the turn. The BTN player raises three times. UTG judges that the opponent might have 77, 22, or a Q with a better kicker, and folds.
Notes
This term is not a fixed standard term but a description of an action combination in a specific situation. In actual discussion, players might more commonly simply say "bet-fold" or "bet-fold on the turn."
