David R.

David Peters was born on April 16, 1987, in Toledo, Ohio. He started playing poker after watching Chris Moneymaker win the 2003 WSOP Main Event. He began with online freerolls and eventually won $600 from one, which kickstarted his poker journey.

Peters has won four World Series of Poker bracelets:

• 2016: $1,500 No Limit Hold'em ($412,557)
• 2020 Online: $10,000 Heads Up No Limit Hold'em Championship ($360,480)
• 2021 Online: $7,777 No Limit Hold'em Lucky 7s High Roller ($283,940)
• 2022: $100,000 High Roller Bounty No-Limit Hold'em ($1,166,810)

He also has 70 WSOP money finishes and 17 final tables, including a 136th-place finish in the 2010 WSOP Main Event. In 2016, he won a WSOP Circuit event for $86,908 and a championship ring.

On the WPT, Peters has career earnings over $2,800,000 from nine cashes and three final tables. His best WPT finish came in 2016 at the WPT National - Philippines $200,000 buy-in event, where he finished runner-up for $2,699,752 – his largest cash to date. On the EPT, he has five cashes for over $600,000 and one final table.

Peters has excelled in high roller events. He won multiple titles on the PokerGO Tour, including the 2021 U.S. Poker Open championship by winning three events in five days. He also won titles at Triton Jeju 2018 and the 2022 Seminole Super High Roller. In July 2015, he finished fifth in the $500,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl for his first million-dollar cash.

Known as "The Silent Assassin" and "The Steamroller," Peters is recognized for his calm demeanor and aggressive play at the tables. He is a former GPI #1 and consistently performs in high-stakes tournaments.
