Dominik Panka

Dominik Panka was born in Brześć Kujawski, Poland, and has remained based in his hometown throughout his career. He took up poker in his early twenties and advanced quickly from low-stakes games to the international tournament circuit, earning a reputation for calm decision-making and sharp analytical play. By the beginning of 2014 he was considered one of Poland's most promising players, and his breakthrough was imminent.

Panka announced himself at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in the Bahamas. In the $10,300 buy-in PCA Main Event, he made the final table and then defeated Mike 'Timex' McDonald heads-up to win the championship and the $1,423,096 first prize. On January 14, 2014, coverage of the victory was headlined 'Panka Denies Timex, Wins 2014 PCA Main Event.' Less than three weeks later, on February 1, he won the EPT Deauville €10,300 Eight Max event for $371,498. His results made him the early leader in the 2014 Player of the Year race; a February 4 update was titled 'Panka Furthers Lead,' and an April 1 report noted 'Panka Retakes Lead.' In March 2015 he finished third in the EPT/IPT Malta €5,300 Main Event for $379,316. After years of consistent cashes, Panka's next major title came at EPT Prague in December 2025. He won the €3,250 Mystery Bounty event on December 12, 2025, collecting $368,060 for first place. In June 2026, at the 2026 World Series of Poker, he finished runner-up in Event #63: $1,000 Mystery Millions, a tournament that drew 22,811 entries. On September 9, 2021, Panka captured his first WSOP gold bracelet in Event #28: $2,100 Bounty Championship No-Limit Hold'em during the WSOP Online series hosted on GGPoker. The event attracted 1,064 entries and created a prize pool of $2,128,000. Panka defeated China's Fengdian 'Shandongmenghu' Wang in a brief heads-up duel, earning $185,228—a combination of $98,526 in bounty payments and $86,702 in prize money. The final table also featured well-known players such as Chris Moorman, who finished seventh, David 'Mclovin86' Mzareulov in fourth, and Nir 'NIRUSHHH' Amar in third. At 30 years old, Panka became Poland's third-ever bracelet winner, following Bartlomiej 'chester20o' Swieboda and Kacper Pyzara, who had won earlier in the same series. Before this victory, he had already amassed 14 WSOP-related cashes for more than $126,000, and his live results had placed him third on Poland's all-time money list. His broader WSOP record now includes one bracelet, one WSOP Circuit ring, 15 final tables, and 194 career cashes, with more than $3.7 million in combined WSOP-related earnings. On the European Poker Tour, he has accumulated over $2.1 million from 11 cashes, with one championship and three final-table appearances.
