Dominik Panka

Dominik Panka was born in Brześć Kujawski, Poland. He started playing poker in his early twenties and quickly demonstrated exceptional talent, moving up from low-stakes games to the international stage. Known for his composure and rigorous analytical approach, Panka had already posted some results on the European Poker Tour (EPT) before 2014, but the victory that truly put him on the map was his stunning win in the 2014 PCA Main Event.

In January 2014, Panka won the $10,300 buy-in PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) Main Event in Nassau, Bahamas, defeating American Mike "Timex" McDonald heads-up to take home $1,423,096. This victory instantly made him the leading figure in Polish poker and earned him the nickname "The Polish Phenom." Later that year, he won the €10,300 Eight-Handed event at EPT Season 10 Deauville, adding $371,498 to his resume and further cementing his status as a top player.

Panka has been particularly strong in EPT events, with 11 cashes and total winnings exceeding $2.1 million, including one title and three final tables. He also has two cashes on the World Poker Tour (WPT). According to authoritative data sources, as of the end of 2025, his live tournament earnings total approximately $3,873,978, ranking among the highest of all Polish players.

Although Panka has not yet won a WSOP gold bracelet in live events, he achieved a breakthrough in the 2021 WSOP Online series. In the $2,100 Bounty event hosted by online poker, he took down the title and earned $185,228, along with a WSOP Online gold bracelet. As of 2025, he has 60 WSOP cashes (live and online combined), totaling approximately $516,000, with two final tables and one victory.

Panka is widely regarded as a tight-aggressive (TAG) player who excels at leveraging position and exploiting opponent tendencies in deep-stack phases.
