Ike Haxton

Isaac Haxton was born on September 6, 1985, in Syracuse, New York. His mother is a psychiatrist and his father an English professor, who introduced him to games of skill early on. Haxton played chess at age four, becoming a youth chess champion, and later took up Magic: The Gathering at ten. After high school, he attended Brown University as a computer science major but eventually completed a degree in Philosophy.

Haxton transitioned from competitive Magic: The Gathering to poker at age 18, playing live at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York. He started online with a $50 deposit on Ultimate Bet, quickly rising as a high-stakes cash game specialist under aliases like 'luvtheWNBA' and 'philivey2694'. His first major live cash came in 2007 as runner-up in the WPT Championship Event for $861,789.
