Or Penix, also known as Nick Phoenix, is a professional poker player from Venice, California, United States. With a career spanning nearly two decades, he has built a reputation for consistent performance in both online and live tournaments. Penix has accumulated over $988,000 in recorded earnings from 182 cashes, including 15 World Series of Poker (WSOP) cashes and two World Poker Tour (WPT) cashes.

Penix began his poker journey online, where he was a professional player and coach for several years. He achieved some of the highest winrates in various No-Limit 6-Max cash game player pools across different sites. His online success laid a strong foundation for his transition to live events.

Penix's best live cash came in June 2021 at the DeepStack Championship Poker Series, where he finished 4th in the $1,600 No-Limit Hold'em MSPT event for $157,612. He also scored a runner-up finish in the 2016 Fall Classic $600 No-Limit Hold'em for $43,118 and took down the 2019 Liz Flynt Spring Poker Classic $160 event for $32,698.

In 2022, Penix placed 12th in the WPT Legends of Poker $5,250 No-Limit Hold'em for $44,500. More recently, in 2025, he finished 6th in the Wynn Summer Classic Seniors event for $55,328 and made multiple WSOP cashes, including a 19th-place finish in the 2026 Wynn Summer Classic $1,100 event.
