Richard Solomon

Rick Salomon was born Richard Allan Salomon on January 24, 1969, in Neptune Township, New Jersey. He was raised in a Jewish household and later moved to Hollywood, California, where he resides today.

Salomon burst onto the high-stakes poker scene with impressive performances in the world's most expensive tournaments. He is best known for his consistent cashes in the $1,000,000 Big One for One Drop series at the World Series of Poker. In 2014, he finished fourth in Event #57 for $2,800,000. He followed this with a third-place finish in the 2016 Monte-Carlo One Drop Extravaganza, earning €3,000,000. In 2018, he again placed fourth in the WSOP Event #78: The Big One for One Drop, taking home $2,840,000. These three scores alone account for over $8.6 million of his career earnings.

Salomon's live tournament cashes total $9,906,283, ranking him 160th on the All Time Money List (as of 2025). He has also cashed in the WSOP Main Event (196th in 2006 for $42,882) and a WPT event. Since 2018, he has not recorded additional live cashes.

Salomon has been a regular face on poker television. He appeared in Season 8 of High Stakes Poker, where he played a $868,200 pot against Bryn Kenney, winning with a straight against a set. He has also featured on Poker After Dark, Super High Roller Bowl coverage, and other PokerGO shows like Rob's Home Game.

Salomon's personal life has attracted significant media attention. In 2003, a sex tape with then-girlfriend Paris Hilton was leaked online; he later distributed it as 1 Night in Paris, settling a lawsuit with Hilton for $400,000 plus profits. He has been married multiple times: to voice actress E.G. Daily (1995-2000), actress Shannen Doherty (2002-2003 annulled), and actress Pamela Anderson (married and divorced twice, 2007-2015). He has two daughters from his marriage to Daily.

Salomon is considered an aggressive high-stakes player, comfortable in deep-stacked cash games and tournament structures. His willingness to play huge pots and compete against the world's best has defined his legacy as a fearless participant in the highest buy-in events.
