大盲位15BB偷盲策略(BB 15bb Steal)

BB 15bb Steal

Refers to an aggressive raise or all-in strategy in No-Limit Texas Hold'em tournaments when the big blind player has about 15 big blinds, targeting late position blind steals.

Overview

The big blind 15BB steal strategy is a common countermeasure in the short-stack phase of tournaments. When the big blind player has approximately 15 big blinds (BB), their fold rate decreases as their stack shrinks, while the stealer (typically in late positions like CO or BTN) often opens with a wide range. At this point, the big blind player can leverage stack pressure by shoving or making a significant raise to take down the pot, forcing the stealer to fold or enter an unfavorable calling situation.

Strategy Principles

  • Stack Sensitivity: 15bb is a typical "critical point." At this stack size, if the big blind folds too often, they will quickly dwindle due to blinds; conversely, proper defense can maintain or even double the stack.
  • Range Advantage: The stealer's opening range often includes many weak hands (e.g., low pairs, weak Ax, suited connectors). The big blind can counter with a relatively tight range containing high cards and medium pairs.
  • Fold Equity: When facing a shove, the stealer needs to call with at least 30% of their range to avoid losing money, but actual fold rates often exceed 50%, making the big blind's shove directly profitable.

Implementation Points

  • Counter Range: Typically includes big pairs (TT+), strong Ax (AT+), suited connectors (KQs, etc.), and some combos, adjusted based on opponent tendencies.
  • Opponent Analysis: Respond aggressively to frequent stealers; loosen up against tight-passive stealers.
  • Position Consideration: This strategy applies only to the big blind, as the small blind has a greater positional disadvantage when defending.

Notes

  • Avoid overusing this strategy, as experienced opponents may adjust.
  • If the stealer has a deeper stack than you, shoving carries higher risk; proceed with caution.
  • This strategy does not apply to cash games due to the lack of blind pressure and deeper stacks.
