按钮位10个大盲注全下(BTN 10bb Open Jam)

BTN 10bb Open Jam

When holding about 10 big blinds on the button, an aggressive short-stack strategy of open-jamming preflop.

Overview

BTN 10bb Open Jam refers to the strategy of a player on the button (BTN) jamming all-in preflop when holding approximately 10 big blinds (bb) of stack depth. This term is commonly seen in late tournament stages or short-stacked cash game scenarios, representing a typical move for stealing and restealing blinds.

Strategy Logic

  • Chip Efficiency: When the stack drops to around 10bb, a standard raise (e.g., 2.5bb) would already commit a large portion of the stack relative to the pot, leaving negligible post-flop room to maneuver. Shoving directly maximizes fold equity while avoiding complex post-flop decisions.
  • Position Advantage: The button is the best post-flop position, but with a short stack this advantage is diminished. Jamming forces the blinds to make tough decisions.
  • Range Construction: Typically, the shoving range in this spot is wide, including most pairs, A-highs, suited connectors, etc., depending on opponents' calling tendencies and ICM pressure.

Applicable Scenarios

  • Late Tournament: With high blind levels and significant dead money in the pot, a 10bb button shove can effectively accumulate chips.
  • Against Tight-Passive Blinds: If the small and big blinds have overly tight calling ranges, this strategy can directly pick up the blinds.
  • ICM Pressure: Near the money bubble or final table, a short stack jam can force medium stacks to call cautiously.

Risks and Adjustments

  • Equity When Called: If opponents hold strong hands (e.g., TT+, AQ+) and call, the short stack is often behind but retains decent equity.
  • Frequency Balance: Too frequent Open Jams allow opponents to adjust their calling ranges; mixing in raises or folds maintains unpredictability.
  • Stack Size Fine-Tuning: 9–12bb is the classic range. Below 8bb, tighten up (e.g., only jam value hands); above 12bb, consider standard raises.

Example

Assume tournament blinds 500/1000 with an ante of 100. You are on the button with 10,000 chips (10bb). Folds to you, holding 87s. You can choose to jam directly. If the blinds have tight calling ranges (only calling AT+, 99+), you have a good chance of winning the 2,500 pot uncontested.

Summary

BTN 10bb Open Jam is an efficient blind-stealing move for short-stacked players leveraging position and chip advantage, but it must be flexibly applied based on opponent tendencies and ICM dynamics.
