关煞位双枪彩虹翻牌(CO River Double Barrel Rainbow)

CO River Double Barrel Rainbow

指在关煞位(CO)入池后,翻牌为彩虹面(三张花色各异),玩家在翻牌圈和转牌圈连续进行两次持续下注(即双枪)的策略。

Term Composition

  • CO (Cutoff): The cutoff position, i.e., the first seat to the right of the dealer. It is a late position with positional advantage.
  • River: Here, it does not refer to the river card but serves as a component of the term, actually representing the "barrel" in "double barrel," commonly seen in the phrase "Double Barrel".
  • Double Barrel: Double barrel, meaning making a continuation bet on both the flop and turn.
  • Rainbow: A rainbow board, meaning the three flop cards are all of different suits. This usually indicates that players do not need to worry about flush draws, making made hands more stable in value.

Strategy Scenario

This term describes a specific play: after a player in the cutoff raises and enters the pot, the flop is a rainbow board and typically dry (e.g., no straight or flush draws). The player bets on the flop (first continuation bet) and continues betting on the turn (second continuation bet). This strategy is often used in the following situations:

  • The player holds an overpair, top pair, or a draw and wants to leverage positional advantage to apply continuous pressure.
  • The rainbow flop reduces the opponent's likelihood of drawing to a flush, making it easier for the player to represent a strong hand.
  • The turn bet can force opponents to fold unimproved hands and protect the player's medium-strength holdings.

Notes

  • The double barrel strategy requires opponents to have a high fold equity; otherwise, the player may face a re-raise or call and lose more chips.
  • A rainbow board is not absolutely safe; attention must still be paid to whether the turn creates a straight draw or possible full house.
  • In deep-stacked situations or against familiar opponents, adjust the frequency accordingly to avoid being exploited.
